3 March 2009

Entities: 340
Prefixes: 6,723

This is an important update for DX Spider users. The entity for some spots was determined incorrectly because of the ordering of the file. This problem occurs when the same prefix can be used for multiple entities, i.e. E5 for North/South Cook, HK0 for San Andres and Malpelo, and JD1 for Ogasawara and Minami Torishima. The following entities are the most common, and therefore the default for the given prefix:

  • E5 - South Cook Is
  • HK0 - San Andres & Providencia
  • JD1 - Ogasawara
  • VK9 - Norfolk Island
  • VP8 - Falkland Islands

These are the other changes:

  • T9 is no longer a prefix for Bosnia, E7
  • SY is no longer a prefix for Mt. Athos, SV/A
  • YZ is no longer a prefix for Serbia, YU
